Katherine Blunt is a director at Brunswick Group in San Francisco, where she advises corporate clients including energy and technology companies on all aspects of communications.

She spent nearly eight years at the Wall Street Journal writing about companies in the power and tech sectors. Much of her work focused on PG&E in the aftermath of the 2017 and 2018 wildfires in Northern California. That coverage, a collaboration with colleagues, was a finalist for the 2020 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting and earned a Gerald Loeb award.

She is the author of California Burning: The Fall of Pacific Gas and Electric and What it Means for America’s Power Grid. The book, a national bestseller, won the 2022 Golden Poppy award for nonfiction.
